What is computer forensics in the corporate world? PDF Print E-mail

A) Computer forensics is a significant part of what Amuleta does. In simple terms, computer forensics is the technological, systematic inspection of a computer system and its contents for evidence of questionable computer usage, sometimes of a criminal nature. This could relate to a civil matter where electronic documents or data must be acquired by a forensics expert who has been brought in to ensure that data is the electronic equivalent of the original. Or an employer needing to properly document the activities of a wayward employee before a termination is issued, or maybe just to keep track of social networking website usage during working hours - a big problem these days it seems....

Aside from forensics work, Amuleta also does firewalls, intrusion and malware detections systems, security audits, penetration testing, policy papers, and general consulting in the field of computer and corporate IT security.
